What’s does Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode mean?

The card companies that provide your card have created a secure system for using your card on the Internet.
This is known by either Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode and is similar to Chip and Pin on your card that you use in the shops.

As time goes by the banks will require you to register a PIN. If you have done so already you simply follow the screen prompts.

Should you not have already done so the screen will prompt you to create a PIN and allow you to continue with your purchase once you have registered.
